Welcome to Wamberal Childcare and Preschool!

Our Centre has proudly been in operation since 1984, and was begun by the Johnson family, who still own our building.

Kirsty Ross is the current Owner and Director. Kirsty has lived on the Central Coast all her life and has worked in childcare since completing her Bachelor of Teaching / Bachelor of Social Science degree in 2001. She then worked locally as an Authorised Supervisor and then Director of a 60 place Centre in Woy Woy before purchasing this Centre Leasehold in October 2008.

Centre Staff

At Wamberal Childcare and Preschool we ensure we employ qualified Staff above the legal requirement and more than ratios determined by the Federal Government. Why? To ensure your child has the best care and early childhood education and to provide responsible and effective supervision and interaction.

In each of our rooms we have Room Co-ordinators who oversee the practices of the room to ensure we meet our Policy guidelines. Staff at our Centre attend regular Professional Development courses and in-services to ensure we are implementing the most current practices in Early Childhood Education. We also hold monthly meetings to discuss Centre Policies, review our practice and brainstorm about Centre Improvements and any issues we have.

Operational Hours & What to Bring

We are open 7:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday and are open 50 weeks a year and will be closed on all public holidays and 2 weeks during the December period.

What to Bring
Children will require a healthy lunchbox each day with Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Teas as well as a water bottle.  Please provide a sheet, hat (broadbrim or legionnaire style), shoes (closed toes), spare set of clothes and 5 nappies and bottles(if required).  All items to be labelled - see Documentation.

Summer months clothing must cover shoulders, backs and the top of the arms.

Full Fee Rate is $59 p/day. Child Care Benefit is available to qualifying parents
